Chris’s White Pizza Sauce Recipe

Chris Capell, creator of Dizzy Pig, has been perfecting the pizza for a long time, and his red and white sauces are just the right thing for your pizza! Chris’ white pizza sauce recipe is delicious, garlicky and buttery and perfect for all your white pizza needs!

 


Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter (I used salted)
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 small onion, or half a big one, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • 2 cups warmed milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Dizzy Pig® Cow Lick to taste
  • Salt, pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Melt butter in saucepan
  2. Sauté onion and garlic until soft and translucent
  3. Whisk in 1/2 cup flour until fully incorporated
  4. Once bubbling, cook for about a minute
  5. Whisk in warm milk, whisking constantly until very thick and bubbly
  6. Whisk in chicken broth until you reach desired consistency
  7. Add Cow Lick to taste
  8. Cool to room temperature
  9. Cover your pizza, add your toppings and enjoy!
