Description
Game meat is best when cooked simply, and not overcooked, and Game On! is the perfect complement. It works not just for duck, elk and other wild game, but also for meaty mushrooms such as Portobello, as well as pork, beef and similar richly flavored meats. This medium-heat spice rub is specifically designed to provide complete flavoring for game meat without the need for long marinating time.
Earthy overtones from chilies and coffee, bright gingery notes and a light pepper flavor make Game On! the ideal accompaniment to your freezer stocked with venison. It’s perfect not just in hunting season, but all year long. We’ve found there’s nothing tastier than a venison backstrap rubbed down well and seared with the perfect crusty flavor. Ditto burgers, short ribs and beef brisket, all of which benefit from the one-two punch of coffee and ginger. Don’t wait to see for yourself.
GAME ON(rub) dizzy pig nation

I just used this rub on a rack of ribs this past weekend with some hot southern honey that I picked up from there store. My coworkers who are my biggest critics loved them. I also used the Peking rub on my second rack with the hot honey and they were just as good. I recommend using dizzy pigs smoking method guarantee your ribs will come out perfect. Thanks dizzy pig for supplying the best rub out there. It makes my job a lot easier to please my coworkers and family.

Man, I have tasted alot of steaks in my life (25yrs) from Tomahawk to Prime dry Aged Rib Eye steaks. Game On! is pretty darn good on Hanger Steaks.Get the grill temp up to minimum 475. Just make sure you brown the spices. Let it rest for 10min. Then enjoy ? Cons: Your wife or girlfriend will be mad at you for eating the whole Hanger steak..
Brought lamb flavor forward
Anonymous –
We cut a rack of grass fed lamb into individual chops, seasoned one third with salt and pepper, one third with Red Eye Express (our usual choice) and one third with Game On, and grilled them to medium. As we expected, the predominant taste with the salt and pepper was lamb, and the predominant taste with the Red Eye Express was the rub. The chops seasoned with Game on were the surprise. We both felt that it brought the flavor of the lamb forward a lot. The chops tasted even more like lamb than those with just salt and pepper, and that was a good thing.
Needs to be cooked

I tried it raw and on a lamb steak. I think this rub needs to be cooked — raw seemed slightly, very slightly, bitter and it must be the coffee. On the lamb it was delicious. The bitterness was nowhere to be found, great salt balance, I put that in my notes actually– the flavor was really good and GREAT browning/caramelization. There was more heat than I expected but I liked that.
