Big Green Egg® enthusiasts to grill their favorite recipes at cookout invitational with special guest, Ray “Dr. BBQ” Lampe.

Manassas, VA – August 30, 2011

Dizzy Pig Barbecue Company, maker of brightly flavored and perfectly balanced seasonings for barbecue, grilling and home cooking, is hosting its first “DizzyFest,” on Saturday, September 17 from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The event features up to 25 avid Big Green Egg® cooks, along with friends, family and barbecue-lovers, at the company’s storefront for a day of sharing their favorite recipes and enjoying delicious food. Special guest, Ray Lampe, “Dr. BBQ,” will be on hand to offer up his best tips and tricks for the perfect cookout or tailgate.

Dr. BBQ has competed in barbecue cook-offs for close to 3 decades and has won over 300 awards. He serves as an expert judge on CBS Sports “Ultimate BBQ Showdown,” and on the Food Network’s “Tailgate Warriors with Guy Fieri.” Dr. BBQ has written five cookbooks, and is the long time ‘spokeschef’ for Big Green Egg outdoor cookers.
