To shake things up a bit, at Dizzy Pig central in Manassas, VA hosted a Dizzcovery Cooking Class every month of the year. We were a little unsure how receptive people would be to putting their long johns on to brave the winter cold, but had no need to worry.

DizzyHeads are dedicated to cooking outdoors all year round! We covered the basics (ribs, brisket, and chicken), and added some “creative” classes as well (seafood, pizza, baking, and prime ribs). We were lucky to have some of our favorite cooks (Mad Max Rosen, Susan Handy and Teresa Nester) on hand to teach and show off their cooking skills.

Upcoming classes:

  • 2/13/16 Rib Class – All of the essentials for cooking great pork ribs, spares and baby backs. We’ll cover fire building, getting the right smoke, temperature control, cooking by “feel” and much more.
  • 3/12/16 Chicken Class – From rubs and sauces to cooking methods, this class will show you various techniques on cooking chicken that is juicy and flavorful.
