Look for this contest to grow quickly. Bill Small (Bill the Grill Guy) put on an amazing first time event and it went very well. Just the perfect venue for a BBQ contest. Was a hot summer weekend, but the shade trees and country breeze actually made for some very comfortable days. Thanks to Bill, Gary and all involved for making this a contest we'll remember.

Fairy tale road scene in rural Virginia. The beautiful grounds of Small Country Campground. All sites with their own power and water hookups.
Shady campsites were really nice. The teams are spread out so it's pretty private. Next year we'll bring the bikes to visit other teams. The house Bill grew up in, right next to private bathrooms and showers.

Saturday was hot, but in the shade it was bearable. We cooked some pretty good food from our spot. The local fire department kept the road dampened to cut down on the dust.
Brian sauces up the ribs. Big fat spare ribs.
The "Cruz" part of the deal. Folks brought some nice cars out for the auto show. I liked the Mopar with the 440 Hemi engine. It's a boat, but a powerful boat!
The live music and awards were held on a cool stage down by the lake. Again, we hung with Gay and Roy for the awards.
Bill presents the raffle and awards. Great job, Bill. Brian wins cash in the raffle!
Mark of Pigs on the Run had a great showing without the team leader. Congrats guys! And the band played on.
